After breakfast, we boarded the bus bound for Xiaoqikong, hailed as the “Emerald of the Earth” and a “Karst Wonderland.” Renowned for its exquisite beauty, rustic charm, and serene tranquility, the scenic area offers ever-changing vistas with its compact layout.

Upon entering Xiaoqikong, visitors first arrive at Wolongtan. The underground river surges from the cliff base, invisible on the surface. Water cascades down in a fan-shaped pattern, with multiple streams crisscrossing and splashing, creating a misty haze. Nature's wondrous power has crafted this enchanting karst landscape, drawing visitors into its allure.

Further ahead lies Laya Waterfall. Its cascades surge skyward before plunging sideways, forming a breathtaking three-dimensional waterfall ensemble with the 68-tiered cascades of the Xiangshui River. After breakfast, board the coach for Longgong Scenic Area. Located in Anshun City, this destination offers boat tours through underground limestone caves boasting the longest subterranean river, the largest cave waterfall, and the lowest natural radiation levels—known as the “Three Supremes” of Longgong. The Tunchang architecture is entirely constructed of stone—stone walls, stone tiles, stone alleys, and stone watchtowers—forming a complete military defense system, resembling stone castles from the age of cold weapons. Stroll through ancient lanes, observe Tunpu women in traditional Fengyang Han attire, and if fortunate, witness performances of the “living fossil of Chinese theater”—the earth opera.
