Qianxi'nan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is located at the junction of Yunnan, Guangxi, and Guizhou provinces, in the transition zone between the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the Guangxi Hills, along the upper reaches of the Pearl River. As a commercial distribution center and strategic transportation hub for the three neighboring provinces, it has long been known as the "Southwestern Barrier" and the "Key to Yunnan and Guizhou". Here you can discover classic karst landforms, the magnificent peaks of Wanfenglin, and clusters of waterfalls in the Maling River Canyon, which has earned it the title of "Earth's Most Beautiful Scar". As a major settlement of the Buyi and Miao ethnic groups, the prefecture boasts rich and colorful folk traditions, including the "Bayin Sitting Singing" and the Miao Flower Dance Festival. The Beipan River Grand Canyon is a majestic and precipitous landscape, while the Twenty-Four Turns Anti-Japanese War Highway bears witness to history. With its pleasant, spring-like climate year-round, it perfectly blends magnificent landscapes, ethnic traditions, and historical culture, making it an ideal destination for eco-tourism and cultural experiences.
